This work reported the genome resource of Brevibacillus brevis YSY-3.4 previously isolated from the dipterocarp forest in Vietnam. The B. brevis YSY-3.4 genome included 54 contigs with 6,190,399 bp, 47.3% GC content, 5,790 protein-coding sequences, 1 rRNA, and 110 tRNAs. It exhibited 98.14% average nucleotide identity and 91.7% digital DNA-DNA hybridization to those of the reported B. brevis. Moreover, 121 genes related to carbohydrate-active enzymes, 13 gene clusters to antimicrobial metabolite biosynthesis, and 12 genes to phytohormone production were identified in the genome. The genome resource of strain YSY-3.4 could be useful for the next characterizations concerning biotechnological applications.
