Evaluation of photosynthetic squalene production of engineered cyanobacteria using the chemical inducer-free expression system

Abstract

Photosynthetic conversion through cyanobacteria and microalgal is remarkable concern for challenge of global warming crisis. Many value-added substances were produced through strain improvement. A lot of research and development are being conducted for the potential as an actual industrial strain. The hurdle of the economic barriers through overall processing production can overcome to produce value-added chemicals by microalgal strain. We engineered cyanobacteria strain for photosynthetic production of squalene and confirmed continuous cultivation CO2 and light condition. The free-inducer system of gene expression was developed at the cyanobacterial strains. Then, squalene production level and growth of the recombinant cyanobacteria were analyzed and discussed. For bio solar cell factories, the ability to regulate gene based on The gene expression system of free-inducer will promote metabolic engineering research and construction to produce value-added chemicals.
